How to plan your retreat with me
Basically, I’m quite happy to offer you a package I can make up for you – but I feel you can be better off than that by retaining yourself and knowing what you want. It’s easy to know. It might be on the tip of your tongue.
Very common in regular retreats not to want to do half the things that are on offer but – to rather bare with that half, or not to really want to know what’s going on for the other participants. Introversion is very common these days and it is fine not to feel interested or totally curious sometimes. Also – when it comes to drinking medicines (psychedelic or otherwise) to feel confusion or to just want to be alone, or to be otherwise inspired.
For that reason fluidity is important and personal space is key. If you like you can erase half the schedule when you get here or if you want – add in more. The point is not to feel confused and to feel happy and integral about all decisions that you make on land with us. Because the power is in your hands.

How to time this
So to me it feels this might depend for you. Sometimes flight prices are much cheaper certain seasons than others. Look for the best bargain and go by that if you want. Or you might already have prepared to see South and Central America – so you are on your way, and it’s so easy now to just reach out and make that extra step in our neck of the woods. But – if you don’t feel like it you don’t have to stay. That is the point.
So we don’t want to hold you to it – just letting you know. Even if you plan 2 weeks with us here but you feel called to go elsewhere – that is no trouble at all. Sometimes our choices are natural and beyond control.
….
If you want to stay longer
That can also be timed. If you like it here and you want to stay longer – we are totally open to do that for you – for this reason it is good to get a flexible flight option back home or to your next location so that you don’t feel pressured to go when you “need to go”
In this case you can extend or see how you feel. No rush.

What to pack and watch out for
We are offering stays in some lovely places with not too many insects so don’t worry. If you have heard a lot about the jungle and fear the mozzies, they don’t overwhelm in these parts. But it is good to be prepared for trekking and otherwise – as there are some big bugs around here.
Usually for trekking if you intend to do so it is good to have some good shoes packed with you. If you don’t like to go trekking, still pack those shoes as it is good to have them on hand just incase.
The weather here is hot to moderate and can get very hot sometimes. There are occasional rains though these shouldn’t ruin the experience. The weather can bring up a lot of emotions for some people, as changes in temperature or environment can do that. Sometimes people catch bugs in the jungle or so they say – which is sometimes just a lot of built up bacteria or other things coming up to the surface.
Dangerous insect bugs can happen here – so yes, if you go trekking it is good to have some bug spray with you or buy some here. Yes there are snakes and all sorts of creatures living in these parts of the world but they shouldn’t be feared. Just respected. If there is ever a snake or a spider in your room – tell someone and it’ll be cleared for you. A very normal and peaceful thing to happen.
It’s good to bring sunblock, bug spray, hat and log sleeve clothes as yes, sometimes it is good to be protected from the bugs depends on the region. Though the places you may be staying are naturally ecologically balanced, which means it’s not bug central here, it is good to still be prepared.
If you like bring extra clothes for more casual and relaxed activity as it is not really a party over here. It’s more of a neutral environment to enjoy and be more on the practical side.
Lycra. If you wear a lot of synthetics know that they react badly with your skin in the hotter climates. If you are in the jungle regions it is generally much better to wear loosely fitting clothes that help your body breathe, instead of skin hugging tight clothes.

Ayahuasca use?
So – at this point we are including many things in the retreat, and ayahuasca is one of them. But this is not the main part of the retreat. A good maestro is hard to find, so now that we have one on board, we really do feel open to promote. That is to a degree because most people come to Peru on a spiritual quest and Ayahuasca for many seems to be the main part.
Should you drink Ayahuasca – at all. (see other articles in my blog)
So the thing is not to push this. I don’t believe most people should do this, it is just that some people really want to – and a lot of my friends and clients have been asking about it and my journey with the plant. To me it feels that it is only for certain people – and for others may not be totally necessary.
If you want you can enjoy a ceremony or two with us. But you don’t have to do it as it is not the main part of the experience here.
